Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival

I’m always excited to see my brother and his family. But, I’m not gonna lie – when I realized I might be able to see the Cherry Blossom Festival while I was visiting them last month, I was a little bit more excited to make the drive to DC.

Em and I took the boys down to the Tidal Basin. We really had some cloudy, gloomy days during our visit, and it started out cloudy and gloomy again.

There were blue patches in the sky here and there, and the blossoms were beautiful, but it was pretty dark.

It was pretty windy and chilly while we were there.  Thankfully, that wind did some good and we got some glorious skies as we walked back to the parking lot at Arlington Cemetery.

I can’t wait to go back next year.  Or maybe we’ll just head to Tokyo for their Cherry Blossom Festival.  Diggity – are you with me? :)

P.S. You have a couple days left to bid on me!

P.P.S.  I didn’t use my usual branding bar on these photos because I didn’t want to detract too much from the photos.  Now that I look at them, I really like it with just my logo as the watermark.  Hmmm….what to do?
