Look Who's 4!

A Birthday Interview with G-Man* (parenthetical commentary provided by me)

Me: How old are you? G: 4

Me: What did you receive for your birthday? G: chalk, stuff for my new sandbox, car toys, Lego robots, an Ironman book

Me: How old do you think I am? G: *sheepish grin* I don't know.

Me: How old do you think Daddy is? G: I don't know.

Me: What is your favorite book? G: Star Wars (truly not sure where this came from - I don't think he has a Star Wars book)

What is your favorite toy to play with? G: Lotso (also, not sure where this came from. He has a Lotso figurine, and it's one of the many "guys" he plays with, but based on observation, I wouldn't say it's his favorite. Oh well. Shows what I know.)

What do you like the most about school? G: How about we talk about what I like learning about? I like to learn about the ocean. Sometimes I learn about the ocean. (had to try really hard not to laugh out loud on that answer.)

What are your teachers named? G: Miss Kandice and Miss Randa.

Who are your friends? G: Will and Rian and Audrey at school. Abe, Sam, Zach, Beckett & Mackay.

What is your favorite food? G: grapes

Are there any foods that you don't like? G: I don't like meat. (he's not kidding. Makes Diggity crazy...)

What is your favorite job to help mom with? G: Cleaning up my room before I go to bed. (he actually is good at this - it bothers him not to have his room cleaned up when he goes to bed)

What is your favorite thing to do with mom? G: Play cars. (or anything else he can get me to play with him. I prefer reading books. *grin*)

What is your favorite thing to do with dad? G: Play Legos and ride on his back. And he giddyups like a unicorn. (yes, honey - apparently you giddyup like a unicorn)

What do you like best about being a big brother? G: Being binkie boy with Lauren. (when we ask him to do something to help with the baby, he attaches "boy" to the job - diaper boy! binkie boy! bottle boy!)

What is your favorite thing about Lauren? G: Playing with her.  Playing with her means talking. I talk with a special voice. (if I only had a recording...imagine a four year old doing the "baby" voice that all of us adopt when we talk to an infant. SO hilarious.)

What is your favorite show? G: Backyardigans. Sometimes Diego. (This surprised me, since I don't think he's watched either of these shows in months. Gotta love the four year old brain.)

What is your favorite movie? G: The Incredibles.

What is your favorite song? G: ABC's.  I can't sing any others.  (I DO sing to him. He DOES know other songs. But apparently, he can't sing any of them.)

What is your favorite thing to do outside? G: Play in my sandbox.  Ride my bicycle and my scooter.

What is your favorite color? G: Blue and green and yellow.

What is your favorite sport? G: Basketball.

What is your favorite place to go on the airplane? G: Shrewsbury.

What is the best thing about being 4? G: Going to Chuck E. Cheese.

Happy birthday, sweet boy! Daddy and I love you so much and you are more fun to be with every day.

*And a huge thanks to cousin Michal for giving me the idea to interview the boy for his birthday. And for writing such awesome questions for me to borrow. *grin*
