Need Gift Ideas?

In honor of Cyber Monday, I wanted to share a few gift ideas that I think are really great. This post isn't sponsored in any way, just taking the opportunity to use my little corner of the internets to share some things I think are awesome.

Gift #1 - My new favorite Christmas decoration:

I just got this beautiful print from my friend Sarah of Sarah Jane Studios. And I LOVE it. I smile every time I pass it in the hall. Sarah and I became friends when we performed in a show called "Savior of the World" in Salt Lake about 10 years ago. My part came in the second act, but I was able to be an angel in the first act. This meant I got to watch Sarah perform the part of Mary every night - she was amazing. At the end of the first act, the birth of Jesus was portrayed, and my favorite part of the scene was when the young shepherd boy is giving the message from the angels. He would say, "For unto you..." and would stop, look at Mary, and then start again and say, "For unto YOU is born this day in the City of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." It gave me chills every time. I haven't asked Sarah, but I'm pretty sure that experience in the show is why the word you is written the way it is in the print. And if that isn't the case, I'm going to pretend that it is. *grin* And if you can get to Sarah's shop before midnight tonight and use the code THANKS15, you can get 15% off your entire order as well as a coupon for 20% off in January.

Gift #2 - My new favorite thing to watch while I'm editing photos:

For the past three or four years, I've made sure to purchase this annual DVD of talks and performances from the Time Out for Women tour. And this year, I made ordering it priority number one when they went on sale since I was lucky enough to hear several of these talks in person. I wanted to make sure I had them to listen to over and over again. I've had one of the two DVDs in my computer almost constantly over the past few days, and I can't tell you how much the talks are enriching my life and my spirit. Click here to order your own copy! They only do one printing of these DVDs, so when they are gone, they're gone. (And some extra fun trivia - I took the three photos on the cover of the DVD! I grin every time I see the cover.)

Gift #3 - My favorite way to spend a weekend other than with my family:

I've been invited to present again for next year's Time Out for Women tour, and I'm so, so excited! This past year has been so humbling and amazing and has blessed me and my family, and I just can't wait to see what is in store for 2012. I'll be presenting "Children Will Listen" in the following cities:

Long Beach, CA Boise, ID Houston, TX Las Vegas, NV Atlanta, GA

If you are close to any of those cities, (like HOUSTON, Austin friends!!) I'd love it if you can come! If you haven't had a chance to attend an event in person, I can't recommend it more. Even if I'm not going to be in your city, you really should take the opportunity to take a little "time out" for yourself. And now through December 6th, you can hop on the early bird special and get tickets at a discounted price. Click on the city you’d like to attend in this link for all of the details. If you’re not ready to register yet, you can register later with a group of 4 or more people and get the same deal in a group discount. (Girls' trip!!)
