I was so proud of myself this morning – we had a gymnastics class and G-Man’s coach pitch game, and of course, the coach pitch game overlapped with the morning session of General Conference. I planned ahead and took my headphones so I could listen to the talks on the Mormon Channel mobile app while I watched the game. But I couldn’t get the app to work. It usually works really well, but it kept crashing. And then when I finally got it to stop crashing, I couldn’t get it to stream. I tried for almost an hour and a half until we finally got home. And by the time we got home, I was so irritated, I almost didn’t want to watch. I was trying to follow along on Twitter, but the quotes were so awesome, I was even more frustrated that I couldn’t hear what was going on. I guess that’s what I get for planning ahead and being proud of myself for it.![]()
I’m hoping to watch it online tonight when the kids are in bed, but in the meantime, if you want to share your favorite quote from the morning session (or any of the sessions) over on this post, you could win an autographed book from John Bytheway.
My favorite talk from this afternoon? Elder Holland. A-maz-ing. So many things I needed to hear and be reminded of. Some concepts that stuck out: (paraphrased from my notes – not quotes)
• We are not diminished when someone else is added upon.
• Envy is a mistake that just keeps on giving.
• The majesty of your life will be made manifest at the end of the day.
• Don’t consume precious emotional capital worrying about things in the past.
• It’s not possible for you to sink lower than the light that Christ’s merciful Atonement shines.
Can’t wait for tomorrow.

I don’t have a favorite quote. Except “step it up men” Elder Holland does not sugar coat his words. My favorite talks were by Elder Holland and Boyd K. Packer. Both sessions were awesome. Can’t wait until tomorrow.
Ok I have a quote “The opportunity to communicate with God is a privilege.”
YEAH!!! I’m so excited! Thank you!
I loved President Uchtdorf’s quote from Sunday…”Heaven is full of the forgiven, and those who forgave.” Paraphrased. I also loved Elder Holland’s talk. He is so easy to listen to, listening to him is like listening to music. You definitely get points for trying to listen live ( :
